Mixed Scrap Steel (HMS1) rose $8.86 CDN/TON over the past 30 days. Prices increased $0.56 CDN/TON yesterday from the previous day. In the past 90 days HMS1 has advanced $43.85 CDN/TON.

In the longer term overview we see that Mixed Steel has increased $48.77 CDN/TON over the past year and overall rose $85.50 CDN/TON over a 2 year period.

In the past 7 days No.1 Heavy Melt Steel Scrap fell $5.03 CDN/TON, #2 copper was up $0.04 USD/LBS, Aluminum Extrusion Scrap decreased $0.04 USD/LBS and Zinc Die Cast scrap was negative $0.01 USD/LBS.

The Canadian Scrap Metals Index which includes scrap steel as well as 5 other benchmark grades of scrap metals including non-ferrous, has advanced 12.72% in the past year and over the past 24 months the index has advanced 27.99%.
