Mixed Scrap Steel (HMS1) rose $0.17 CDN/TON over the past 30 days. Prices increased $1.74 CDN/TON yesterday from the previous day. In the past 90 days HMS1 has declined $17.01 CDN/TON.

In the longer term overview we see that Mixed Steel has increased $85.01 CDN/TON over the past year and overall rose $142.69 CDN/TON over a 2 year period.

In the past 7 days No.1 Heavy Melt Steel Scrap rose $2.77 CDN/TON, #2 copper was up $0.06 USD/LBS, Aluminum Extrusion Scrap decreased $0.01 USD/LBS and Zinc Die Cast scrap was unchanged.

The Canadian Scrap Metals Index which includes scrap steel as well as 5 other benchmark grades of scrap metals including non-ferrous, has advanced 8.42% in the past year and over the past 24 months the index has advanced 27.56%.
