Mixed Scrap Steel (HMS1) fell $42.75 CDN/TON over the past 30 days. Prices increased $2.57 CDN/TON yesterday from the previous day. In the past 90 days HMS1 has declined $32.16 CDN/TON.

In the past 7 days No.1 Heavy Melt Steel Scrap fell $4.28 CDN/TON, #2 copper was up $0.13 USD/LBS, Aluminum Extrusion Scrap increased $0.02 USD/LBS and Zinc Die Cast scrap was positive $0.06 USD/LBS.
The Canadian Scrap Metals Index which includes scrap steel as well as 5 other benchmark grades of scrap metals including non-ferrous,
has declined 19.57% in the past year and over the past 24 months the index has advanced 14.18%.
