Looking for Commentary on the Outdoor Furniture Industry |

..in a 2007 article in Recycling Today magazine there was a brief mention of the growth of recycled outdoor leisure furniture (postconsumer plastics). Research (scant) had been provided by the Freedonia Group; however, the author has no current info for which I’m searching. Specifically, the citing of “Other applications [in recycled plastics], such as playground equipment, site and leisure furniture...will see above average gains through 2009...”
Is there anything you might offer me as more recent commentary on this specific outdoor furntiure industry and/or category, such as how much growth it’s seen in the past 2-3 years? I’m looking for a percentage of how much market share this category has currently, even though it’s new. What about the growth of the HDPE postconsumer scrap industry that sells to furniture manufacturers -- any growth stats for that?
I’m on deadline with an article for Consumers Digest highlighting the emerging ‘recycled outdoor furniture’ market (companies like Loll Designs, Poly Wood, Millcraft Outdoor, Seaside Casual, etc).
