Mixed Scrap Steel (HMS1) rose $2.98 CDN/TON over the past 30 days. Prices increased $2.79 CDN/TON yesterday from the previous day. In the past 90 days HMS1 has declined $34.08 CDN/TON.

In the longer term overview we see that Mixed Steel has decreased $32.13 CDN/TON over the past year and overall rose $97.08 CDN/TON over a 2 year period.

In the past 7 days No.1 Heavy Melt Steel Scrap rose $0.49 CDN/TON, #2 copper was down $0.11 USD/LBS, Aluminum Extrusion Scrap decreased $0.04 USD/LBS and Zinc Die Cast scrap was negative $0.11 USD/LBS.

The Canadian Scrap Metals Index which includes scrap steel as well as 5 other benchmark grades of scrap metals including non-ferrous, has advanced 20.36% in the past year and over the past 24 months the index has advanced 44.29%.
